Connecting Your Airtable Account

Airtable is the destination for all your synced data. You must connect it before creating any syncs. This guide walks you through the complete OAuth setup process.

Before You Begin

  • Make sure you have an Airtable account (free tier works fine)
  • Know which Airtable bases you want to sync data into
  • Have your Airtable login credentials ready

Tip: If the window doesn't open, check if your browser is blocking pop-ups.

Step 3: Log In to Airtable

  2. If you use Google or SSO to sign in to Airtable, use those options instead
  3. Complete any two-factor authentication if enabled

Step 4: Select Base Access

This is an important step - choose carefully:

  1. You'll see a list of all your Airtable bases
  2. Option A: Select All current and future bases for the easiest setup
  3. Option B: Select specific bases if you want to limit TableSync's access
  4. Check the boxes next to the bases you want to use

Recommendation: If you're just getting started, select all bases. You can always revoke access later from Airtable's settings.

Step 5: Grant Permissions

  1. Review the permissions TableSync is requesting:
  • Read and write records - Required to add and update synced data
  • Read base schema - Required to show you available tables and fields
  1. Click the Grant access button
  2. Wait for the page to redirect back to TableSync

Step 6: Verify the Connection

  1. You'll be returned to your TableSync Dashboard
  2. The Airtable card should now show Connected with a green checkmark
  3. Your Airtable email or workspace name will appear below

[Screenshot: Browser showing pop-up blocked indicator]

"Authorization failed"

Possible causes and solutions:

  • Wrong account: Make sure you're logging into the correct Airtable account
  • Session expired: Log out of Airtable completely, then try connecting again
  • Browser issue: Try using a different browser or incognito/private mode

"I don't see my bases"

Solutions:

  • Check if the bases are in a workspace you have access to
  • Verify you selected those bases during the authorization step
  • Try reconnecting and selecting the missing bases

"Connection shows as disconnected"

This can happen if:

  • You revoked access from Airtable
  • Your Airtable password changed
  • The connection token expired (rare)

Solution: Click Reconnect and go through the authorization again.
